What is .mobi?

.mobi is the first – and only – top level domain dedicated to delivering the Internet to mobile devices. .mobi will revolutionize the use of the Internet on mobile devices. It is designed to guide mobile users to made-for-mobile Internet content and services that can be accessed with confidence.

.mobi is backed by the most prominent mobile and Internet players in the world – and is poised to meet the expectations of Internet and mobile users like you.

The key differentiator for the dotmobi domain is the mobile user experience. This is driven by the Switch On! Guides. The guides contain a mixture of mandatory and recommended best practices for developing mobile content and services.

The Web Browsing Guide is the first in the series of Switch On! Guides to be published by mTLD. It is based on the work of leading mobile companies as well as participation in the W3C Mobile Web Initiative.
