    SIP VoIP Service FAQ's

What does a Cline Networks account come with?
Your account will come standard with:

Outbound calling - Allows you to configure your VOIP hardware or software to make calls to traditional phone numbers.

Inbound calling - We can provide you with DIDs throughout the United States for a minimal monthly fee and usage charges.

What hardware or software does your service work with?

You can use any SIP or IAX2 compliant hardware or software. We maintain a growing knowledge base of configuration instructions and support for various hardware and software. We will do whatever we can to help you get up and running quickly.

    What protocols do you support?

We currently support SIP and IAX2.

Is there a limit on the number of simultaneous callers I can have?

No. You can have as many simultaneous callers as you would like. Each account has a default limit set to 25. If you would like to increase the limit, there is a charge only if they are idle during a given month.

While many providers put a limit on the number of calls, we allow you to make or receive as many calls as you require at any given time.

    Do you support Asterisk?
ABSOLUTELY! We use Asterisk extensively and are perfectly set up to work with your Asterisk implementation.

    Can you provide inbound DIDs?
Yes. We can provide you with DIDs and inbound calling in most areas of the United States and Canada.

You can request DIDs for inbound calling once you create a Cline Networks account. We can generally get you the phone numbers you order on the same day of your request.

Are there any hidden fees or minimums?

NO! We will always be up front about the cost to use our services.

How do I get charged for this service?

All of the Cline Networks services are pre-paid. As long as you maintain a positive pre-paid account balance, you can use any of the services. We will charge your account balance for each call or service used including setup fees or monthly recurring fees for DIDs.

You must maintain a positive account balance to use any of the services. You have multiple options to manually or automatically maintain your balance.

Do you support 911, E911 or any emergency services?

We put our best effort to make sure your information is in and on-file with the local law enforcement agencies. Please be aware how E911 works and the pitfalls of using VoIP with E911. You may not be able to reach emergency service personnel when dialing 911 during network outages, hardware failures, internet downtimes, etc.

This service is NOT A PRIMARY LINE REPLACEMENT. We strongly recommend you maintain alternate means to reach 911, E911 or any emergency personnel.

We may change provided support for 911 in the future and will keep customers updated if there are any changes.

    Do you provide call history?

Your call history can be pulled upon requests.

I live outside the United States, can I use Cline Networks?

Yes. However, we may only charge a valid US credit card, depending upon your credit card type. You can be plugged into an Internet connection anywhere in the world to use our service.

    Do you support faxing?

We do not officially support faxing at this time. We'll leave it at that. It will work for many customers without problems, but we cannot make guarantees.

    What happens if I move?

Your Cline Networks service will work anywhere there is an Internet connection. It will continue working normally if you move to a new location and plug the device into your Internet connection there. Please remember to update your billing information with our billing department to reflect your new address.
